Etsako Central Communities According to Wards & Settlements

Etsako Central Local Government Area was created from Etsako East Local Government Area on 1 October 1996 by the administration of General Sanni Abacha. The Local Government finally took of in January 1997. The Local Government headquarters is Fugar, which is located about 200 km from the state capital.

Etsako Central Local Government Area has a well-structured community and rulership framework. There are three clans with over 77 settlements. The settlements are divided into 10 political wards for election and political administrative purposes. This traditional structure provides a solid foundation for interacting with the grassroots population in Etsako Central Local Government Area.
